Additional Information

Agency Name: Bureau of Reclamation – Lower Colorado Region
Description: The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Yuma Area Office (YAO) is requesting proposals to fund projects for activities in support of their Native American Technical Assistance Program (TAP) in federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2011. The TAP program is for the development and management of water and related natural resources, including Native American technical assistance activities. Through direct participation, training, and partnering, YAO provides financial and technical assistance in the field of water resource development and management. This may take many forms from assisting Tribal technical experts to providing the technical data necessary to assess, plan, and develop on-reservation water resources. Assistance may also be provided through training to enhance the TribesÂ’ knowledge and expertise in the use, protection, and development of resources.

It is anticipated that up to three awards of a grant or cooperative agreement will be made to a responsive, responsible and eligible recipient based on technical merit. Cost sharing or cost matching is not required. Applications will be reviewed, evaluated and rated by a technical panel.
