This grant from the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) is for the “Dignity in Documentation Initiative” (DIDI). Its purpose is to establish global, integrated, and holistic programming focused on documenting Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV). The initiative aims to seek truth and justice for victims and survivors, alongside ensuring accountability for crimes violating international human rights and humanitarian law. A core principle is a survivor-centered and trauma-informed approach, prioritizing the individual needs of CRSV survivors. It also supports survivor networks, civil society, and community-based organizations. This solicitation represents the initial phase of a planned five-year program, with future funding contingent on availability.

| Description: | The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for a new project, “Dignity in Documentation Initiative” (DIDI). This effort focuses on global, integrated, and holistic CRSV documentation programming seeking truth and justice for victims and survivors as well as accountability for crimes committed in violation of international human rights and humanitarian law.
