This grant from the Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) is for the purpose of funding Transitional Living Programs (TLP) and Maternity Group Homes (MGH). These initiatives offer vital alternatives to involving runaway and homeless youth in law enforcement, child welfare, mental health, and juvenile justice systems. TLPs provide safe shelter for up to 21 months with adult supervision, life skills, career counseling, and medical care. MGHs augment these services with parenting instructions and childcare. Other offered services include transportation, family planning, and pregnancy prevention, providing holistic support for vulnerable youth.
