The Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is offering approximately $40 million in grant funds for Enhanced Transitional Jobs (ETJ) programs. This grant aims to increase workforce participation among low-income, hard-to-employ populations, specifically non-custodial parents and/or ex-offenders reentering communities. ETA seeks innovative ETJ models that surpass previously tested programs. Eligible applicants include Local Workforce Investment Boards or non-profit community/faith-based organizations with 503(c)(3) IRS status, possessing experience in transitional jobs programs or forming partnerships with such experienced entities. Applicants must demonstrate established or readily establishable relationships with required partners. Selected grantees will be required to participate in a random assignment evaluation.
