Description: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE, AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) intends to award a grant agreement to Environment Canada under authority of CFDA 15.655 and the Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956, as amended (16 USC 742a-742j). The Service proposes to provide financial assistance to estimate reproductive success and recruitment of Atlantic Population Canada geese and provide those estimates for use in population dynamics model for Atlantic Population Canada geese. The information generated by these studies is needed to develop models of population dynamics and eventually adaptive harvest management to ensure recovery of the population and to avoid future declines. One of the key goals of the present research is to develop a monitoring program which will provide sufficient biological daata on an annual basis to implement new management strategies.
