This grant is for the purpose of enhancing Zambia’s response to the HIV and AIDS crisis by building the capacity and ensuring the sustainability of local indigenous faith-based partners. Initially supported by PEPFAR-funded HHS/CDC and HHS/HRSA programs since 2004, the initiative aims to transition HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care services to host country ownership. Successful applicants will gradually assume responsibility for activities previously provided by an international organization across 17 faith-based and two private sites in Eastern, Southern, Lusaka, Western, Copperbelt, North Western, and Northern Provinces. This promotes long-term local sustainability and comprehensive service delivery in these regions.
