Agency Name: Fish and Wildlife Service
Description: This restoration project is to acquire a parcel of land adjacent to the City of Joplin’s Murphy Park, and restore the site to native tallgrass prairie for the benefit of the public and wildlife. This parcel will be conveyed to the City of Joplin to be incorporated into their system of parks at the end of the cooperative agreement.

Substantial involvement on the part of the USFWS is anticipated for the successful completion of the activities to be funded. In particular, the USFWS will be responsible for the following:
Write up a Site Restoration Plan with input from MPF.
Provide language to be put into the conservation easement protecting the property.
Assist with resource management activities such as seeding, spot spraying, etc.
Assist with bio-monitoring activities.
