The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) is offering this grant to implement the National Victimization Statistical Support Program (NVSSP) project. This grant is for providing crucial scientific and technical support for statistical and methodological research, analysis, documentation, and dissemination. Its primary purpose is to aid BJS’s efforts in redesigning the National Criminal Victimization Survey (NCVS) and enhancing its statistical reporting program from the NCVS and other federal victimization data. Furthermore, the NVSSP will enable BJS to use NCVS insights for future program decisions, expand its capacity for analyzing criminal victimization data, and create technical documentation. This initiative aims to significantly broaden the range of substantive issues addressed by the NCVS, both in the short and long term.
