The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is offering this grant to empower community service organizations to develop and enhance their mentoring programs for child victims of commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) or domestic sex trafficking. This grant is specifically for increasing outreach and the availability of direct services for young individuals under 18, including U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents. The purpose of this initiative is to integrate promising practices into mentoring models, facilitate the recruitment, training, and support of mentors, and provide comprehensive services that enable boys and girls to overcome their victimization and realize their full potential.

Additional Information on Eligibility: | Applicants are limited to states (including territories), units of local government (including federally-recognized tribal governments, as determined by the Secretary of the Interior), nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations), and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). For-profit organizations must agree to forgo any profit or management fee.
Eligible applicants who propose to provide direct services must not include youth who are age 18 or older in the population to be served. Eligible applicants must make the program available to girls and boys. OJJDP welcomes joint applications from two or more eligible applicants; however, one applicant must be clearly indicated as the primary applicant (for correspondence, award, and management purposes) and the others indicated as co-applicants. |
