The Department of Defense (DoD) is offering the Neurofibromatosis Research Program (NFRP) New Investigator Award to foster innovation and career development in neurofibromatosis (NF) research. This grant is specifically designed to support promising independent investigators or facilitate the transition of established researchers into the field of NF. While prior NF research experience is welcome, it is not a prerequisite; however, investigators with limited NF backgrounds are strongly encouraged to collaborate with experienced NF researchers. Applicants must provide preliminary data directly relevant to neurofibromatosis and/or Schwannomatosis to support their proposed projects. The award aims to advance critical understanding and breakthroughs in these conditions by empowering new research talent.
