As this FOA is a limited competition opportunity, only the institution that is the principal employer of the Principal Investigator of the TEDDY Data Coordinating Center is eligible to apply in response to this FOA.

Required Registrations

Description: This FOA, invites one Research Project Cooperative Agreement application (UC4) from the Principal Investigator of the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) that has been involved in study design and coordination, and data and biosample acquisition and management, since the inception of The Environmental Determinants of Diabetes in the Young (TEDDY) consortium, an ongoing epidemiological study.The DCC will provide continued support for TEDDY study activities.This is a one-time solicitation to support the TEDDY DCC as part of an ongoing consortium of investigators for a maximum of five years, contingent on satisfactory participant recruitment and retention. The DCC will provide for data and sample management, including standardized acquisition, quality control, dissemination and public accessibility.The DCC will accommodate and support a wide range of research projects seeking to utilize and augment the TEDDY data and biosamples.Individual hypothesis-driven studies are not a component of this FOA. It is anticipated that all data and biosamples acquired will be used to conduct analyses specified in the TEDDY study protocol and to create a publicly available resource for future hypothesis based research.
