This grant, offered by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), establishes the Electronic and Cyber Crime National Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Program. Its primary purpose is to equip state, local, and tribal law enforcement, prosecutors, and other criminal justice entities with the skills to prevent, investigate, and effectively respond to crimes committed using networked computers or Internet technology. These high-tech crimes include financial theft, identity theft, selling illegal goods online, cyberstalking, child grooming, and hacking. Funded through the Edward Byrne Memorial Competitive Grant Program, this initiative supports local communities by enhancing their justice systems and addressing critical needs through targeted national training and technical assistance efforts.
