This grant, offered by the NPS Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network (HTLN), is for developing effective communication and educational programs related to fire effects monitoring in Central Great Plains NPS Units. The HTLN seeks assistance to ensure that scientific findings are translated into relevant and accessible information for park managers and the public. The recipient will develop concise, understandable information products, create education and interpretation programs tailored to specific park resources, and design curriculum for local educators. This initiative aims to improve overall scientific literacy and highlight the critical role of science in managing National Parks, bridging the gap between scientific data and public understanding.
