The Department of the Interior’s National Park Service (NPS) is offering this grant, through a task agreement with The Student Conservation Association, Inc. (SCA), to integrate cultural landscapes of the Midwest Region into the Facility Management System (FMSS). This grant is for the purpose of updating and maintaining critical cultural landscape data within the NPS’s extensive databases. The work involves translating Cultural Landscapes Inventory and Reports (CLI/CLR) data into FMSS, editing existing data in FMSS and the List of Classified Structures (LCS), preparing updates, and conducting fieldwork. The SCA will provide an intern to carry out these tasks, ensuring the uniformity and integration of cultural landscape information across the NPS system and assisting with public outreach to raise awareness of these significant sites. This initiative supports the broader goal of inspiring lifelong stewardship through hands-on service.
