Additional Information on Eligibility: This financial assistance opportunity is also open to all partners under any Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) program. CESUs are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. If a cooperative agreement is awarded to a CESU partner under a formally negotiated Master CESU agreement, indirect costs are limited to a rate of no more than 17.5% of the indirect cost base recognized in the partner’s Federal Agency-approved Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement (NICRA).

Description: The BLM would like to partner with an organization to share in field data collection and analysis of information related to long-term monitoring of Arctic streams and lakes for the evaluation of potential impacts of oil and gas activities on physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of those habitats. In the past five years, the BLM and the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Water and Environmental Research Center (WERC) have shared in the information which has contributed to improved resources for public land management.
