The National Park Service (NPS) is offering this grant to support collaborative efforts in protecting resources along the Mississippi River. This grant is for the purpose of developing a comprehensive list of established and potential partners and points of contact within agencies and organizations working along the river. The project will also identify ongoing partnership activities, conduct a preliminary assessment of existing gaps in resource protection, and define possible next steps for future endeavors. The outcomes of this project will directly guide the NPS in understanding where further efforts to protect the vital resources of the Mississippi River can be most effectively focused.
