This grant, offered by SAMHSA/CMHS, aims to implement the comprehensive Zero Suicide model within health systems. Its primary purpose is to establish robust suicide prevention and intervention programs for individuals aged 25 and older who are at risk. Grantees will focus on raising awareness, creating efficient referral processes, and significantly improving care and outcomes for these vulnerable populations. The Zero Suicide model can be integrated across various health settings, including Federally Qualified Health Centers or other primary care facilities in areas with limited behavioral health services. Health systems not directly providing care may partner with suitable agencies to deploy this vital program, ultimately reducing suicide rates and enhancing support for at-risk adults.
