Additional Information

Agency Name: Geological Survey
Description: The US Geological Survey (USGS) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research on the use of remote sensing of dissolved organic matter (DOM) to inform the management of the nation’s water resources. USGS scientists are experienced with public remote sensing data products and associated in situ water quality records. However, in situ observations of DOM in inland waters across multiple scales has limited capacity to quantify or predict the changes in DOM needed to inform natural resource decision making. This research will advance the understanding of how remotely sensed data can inform future water quality observation programs as well as regional and local water resource management.
