The Presidential Awards Department is offering this opportunity to recognize exceptional past mentoring achievements. This initiative, the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM), identifies and honors individuals and organizations whose efforts have significantly enhanced the participation and retention of underrepresented groups, including persons with disabilities, women, and minorities, in STEM fields. This recognition spotlights leaders contributing to developing the nation’s STEM human resources. Eligibility is open to any U.S. citizen or permanent resident demonstrating exemplary, measurable mentoring, including federal employees and private sector entities. Former individual PAESMEM recipients are not eligible; former organizational recipients may apply for individual awards after ten years.
