Additional Information

Agency Name: Centers for Disease Control – NCIRD
Description: This NOFO will support the implementation of immunization practices by national-level pharmacy organizations and improve communication among pharmacists, state and local immunization programs, and other healthcare providers.  Applicants should provide education and training on current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations and proper vaccine administration and storage and handling of vaccines.  Applicants should also implement pandemic vaccination planning guidance to reduce immunization disparities through formalized agreements between pharmacies, pharmacy associations, and public health programs.  For this 5-year cooperative agreement, applicants should ensure pharmacies are engaged in communities where access to care is low and collaborate with leaders in vaccine hesitant communities to build trust, empower pharmacy personnel, and bolster vaccine confidence.
