Agency Name: Bureau of International Narcotics-Law Enforcement
Description: INL leverages its unique foreign assistance authorities to contribute to the global fight against wildlife trafficking. INL will support work that builds investigative and enforcement capacity, strengthens legislative frameworks, provides judicial and prosecutorial assistance, and develop capacity for cross-border law enforcement cooperation. For example, activities may include training, mentoring, and possibly the provision of non-lethal equipment for park rangers, police, prosecutors, other relevant officials and, where applicable, non-governmental and civil society entities to address the multi-faceted dimensions of poaching and wildlife trafficking.

To support further progress in sub-Saharan Africa, the U.S. Department of State has allocated $5,000,000.00 in FY 2016 International Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement (INCLE) Funds to strengthen capacity in Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, or Zambia to combat wildlife trafficking.
