This Public Health Grant aims to establish a community of practice bringing together diverse community collaborators and state tobacco control programs. Its purpose is to develop and advance culturally competent commercial tobacco control interventions, focusing on reducing menthol and other flavored tobacco initiation among youth and increasing cessation motivation for adults. The grant also seeks to enhance culturally appropriate cessation support and initiate effective health communication strategies. Ultimately, this initiative strives to advance health equity by fostering strategic partnerships, engaging communities, and addressing social determinants of health that contribute to tobacco product use in communities experiencing health disparities.
