The Department of Labor is offering this grant to provide Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Activities Program Allotments for Program Year (PY) 2017. This grant is for distributing federal funds to states, based on WIOA formula provisions. Significantly, the competition requirement is waived for outlying areas such as American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Funding for these areas will adhere to an administrative formula used under the Workforce Investment Act. PY 2017 Adult Activities State Allotments and comparisons to PY 2016 are detailed in Attachment E of Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 27-16.
