The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is offering this grant to develop and maintain a Coordinating Center (CC) for its Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR) program. This grant is for the purpose of advancing behavioral and social research on aging, health disparities in older adults, and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD). The RCMAR program supports research infrastructure development and mentorship for early career scientists from diverse backgrounds. The CC will coordinate RCMAR Centers, facilitate collaboration, manage an interactive website, share research resources, and provide technical assistance to investigators. It will also perform program evaluation and enhance the visibility of RCMAR and the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in aging research.
