Description: The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement (PM/WRA) is pleased to invite interested U.S.-based and foreign nongovernmental organizations, public international organizations, and commercial contractors to submit a concept note and notional budget on prospective approaches to implementing conventional weapons destruction (CWD) activities in the African Great Lakes region, specifically the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. PM/WRA will prioritize small arms and light weapons (SA/LW) threat reduction programs over humanitarian mine action projects.
