The National Park Service is offering this grant to Colorado State University to advance research on reactive nitrogen deposition in Grand Teton National Park. This grant is for conducting in-depth laboratory and data analysis of samples from the GrandTReNDS study, with a focus on preparing robust datasets for NPS air quality and source apportionment modeling efforts. Key activities include continuing support for the IMPROVE pilot-scale NHx monitoring, ongoing passive sampling of ammonia and nitric acid in Grand Teton, and further laboratory evaluations of ammonia measurement methods. Additionally, the project aims to publish significant findings from previous reactive nitrogen monitoring in RMNP, enhancing our understanding of environmental impacts. No new field deployments are planned.
