Description: The Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center (PCMSC) in Santa Cruz, CA, along with its primarily funding partners, Coastal and Marine Geology Program (CMGP) and the Natural Hazards Mission Area of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU Partner that have the ability to conduct research in topics that meet the goals of the Coastal and Marine Geology Program. PCMSC primarily conducts research along the continental shelves, nearshore, beach, estuaries, rivers and lakes of the western United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and the Pacific Island Trust Territories. Current research interests of PCMSC include (but are not limited to) understanding coastal and offshore geologic hazards, coastal change, habitats and ecosystems, and energy and mineral resources. The award covers a number of possible research topics to bridge between multiple researchers and multiple research topics at the USGS to appropriate recipientâ¿¿s researchers, associated staff, and their graduate and undergraduate students.
