Additional Information on Eligibility: *Organization Limit: Proposals may only be submitted by the following:
-Universities and Colleges – Universities and two- and four-year colleges (including community colleges) accredited in, and having a campus located in the US, acting on behalf of their faculty members. Such organizations also are referred to as academic institutions.

*PI Limit:
US PIs who submitted an unsolicited individual investigator proposal to the Division of Chemistry in July 2011 or November 2011 are not eligible to apply to the ICC program.

US PIs who already have an individual investigator award from the Division of Chemistry are not eligible to submit an ICC proposal unlessthe proposalis submitted as a renewal proposal of their current award from the division. Division of Chemistry grantees who wish to add an international collaboration component to their currently funded projects are advised to submit supplemental funding requests to their existing awards rather than to respond to this solicitation.

To realize this goal, the Division of Chemistry at NSF has partnered with the Fonds zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung (FWF; Austrian Science Fund) of Austria, the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR; National Research Agency) of France, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR; National Research Fund) of Luxembourg, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), Spain Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion (MICINN; Ministry of Science and Innovation), the National Science Council of Taiwan (NSC), and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) of the United Kingdom. The NSF Division of Chemistry will accept collaborative research proposals in basic research in chemistry, written in English, which establish bilateral collaborations between US investigators and investigators from the countries listed above.
