This grant is for the purpose of establishing a Data Coordination and Analysis Center (EDCAC) to support the ongoing Encyclopedia of DNA Elements (ENCODE) Project. The ENCODE and modENCODE initiatives have successfully cataloged significant functional elements within human and model organism genomes, which are vital for advancing basic biological knowledge and interpreting disease-mapping studies. The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) seeks applications to develop this essential center.
