This grant is for advancing behavioral intervention development research, encompassing efficacy testing, clinical trials, and examining mechanisms of behavior change. It supports optimizing treatment dose-response and sequencing behavioral, combined, or integrated behavioral and pharmacological interventions. Key areas of focus include drug abuse treatment for patients with comorbidities, enhancing treatment adherence, and leveraging technology for improved implementation. The program also funds interventions to prevent HIV acquisition/transmission among individuals in drug abuse treatment, promote adherence to various medications, and address substance misuse alongside chronic pain.
