The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) is offering this grant to fund programs aimed at increasing access to objective and independent information in, out of, and within North Korea. This grant is for organizations interested in submitting Statements of Interest (SOI) for initiatives designed to counter information isolation in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). The DRL seeks proposals that support its policy objective of fostering a free flow of impartial information, enabling better communication and understanding. Applicants should demonstrate their capacity to execute programs that effectively broaden the reach of unbiased news and data within this challenging environment, aligning with the broader goal of promoting human rights and democratic principles through transparency.
