| Description: |
Attention: Updated on 5/3/2023, The call for Concept Papers, for the Addenda under Annual Program Statement (APS) Number: 72066723APS00001 for the Support to Locally Led Development Approaches has been suspended until further notice. USAID/Sudan will continue to evaluate options for programming and will update the status of the APS as soon as possible. Attention: USAID Mission/Sudan has issued the Annual Program Statement (APS) Number: 72066723APS00001 for the Support to Locally led Development Approaches. Please review the APS and its Four Addenda and submit a Concept Paper if your organization is interested and eligible: Here is the link for the APS and its four Addenda at Grants.gov: https://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=346889 OVERVIEW: At the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), we work hard to build a world that is safer, healthier, and more prosperous for people everywhere. Partnering is at the heart of that effort. As USAID Administrator Samantha Power has noted, the quality of the Agency’s partnerships represents “the essence of whether the development we do will be sustained over me.” The USAID/Sudan Mission seeks to expand the Agency’s partnering potential by improving collaboration with new, non-traditional, and local actors—while enhancing local leadership, capacity, and accountability in all that we do. The New Partnerships Initiative (NPI) was launched in 2019 as part of an effort to implement the principles of the Agency’s Acquisition and Assistance Strategy, primarily diversifying USAID’s partner base and changing how the Agency partners. NPI seeks to lower the barriers faced by non-traditional partners—including local actors, U.S. small businesses, faith-based organizations, cooperatives, diaspora groups, and civil society organizations—so that the Agency can embrace the diverse potential of the partnering community in pursuit of our shared development goals. The United States Government, represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Mission in Sudan, is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit information and potential interest from organizations to diversify USAID’s partner base. Request for Information (RFI) RFI Number: USAID/Sudan-RFI 2023-001 The goal of the RFI is to 1) diversify USAID/Sudan’s partner base by creating avenues for new and underutilized partners to work with USAID, and 2) support partners to become self-reliant and capable of leading their own development journeys. To achieve this, USAID/Sudan intends to promote funding and capacity development opportunities for local organizations to achieve locally-led and sustainable development outcomes. These efforts may include designing and implementing solutions with a full range of development partners, mobilizing resources across local systems, and fostering accountability for the results. Potential development results may emerge from partnerships with many different actors, such as for-profit, non-profit, diaspora, private sector, universities, research institutes, and other entities. RESPONSE REQUESTED: USAID/Sudan Mission requests information to identify and better understand the wide range and capabilities of organizations to implement development projects of varying sizes and types and across various technical sectors. USAID/Sudan also desires to gather information on the number and type of local Partners operating in different geographic locations of Sudan to consider eligible organizations for future solicitations/partnership opportunities. Responses received from this Request for Information (RFI) will help the Mission identify organizations interested in working with USAID/Sudan Mission and potential partners for future co-creation opportunities. Please review Attachment A for the information requested. Responses to this RFI are requested as soon as practicable. While the RFI has an intentionally long timeframe for submissions – until June 30, 2023, please do not wait until June 2023 to submit responses. Please note USAID is not seeking a technical or cost proposal for any partnerships at this me. Do not submit any proposal or application in response to this RFI. Only the information requested in Attachment-A will be considered. Issuance of this notice does not constitute an award commitment on the part of USAID, nor does it commit USAID to pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of responses. |

| Description: |
OVERVIEW: At the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), we work hard to build a world that is safer, healthier, and more prosperous for people everywhere. NPI seeks to lower the barriers faced by non-traditional partners—including local actors, U.S. small businesses, faith-based organization, cooperatives, diaspora groups, and civil society organizations—so that the Agency can embrace the diverse potential of the partnering community in pursuit of our shared development goals. RESPONSE REQUESTED: USAID/Sudan Mission requests information to identify and beer understand the wide range and capabilities of organizations to implement development projects of varying sizes and types and across various technical sectors. |
