Additional Information

Agency Name: Agency for International Development
Description:

This is a Request for Information (RFI) designed to collect information related to the organizational capabilities of potential applicants and technical feedback regarding a draft Program Description (PD) developed by the Biodiversity Division of the Center for Environment, Energy, and Infrastructure (EEI) in the Bureau for Development, Democracy and Innovation (DDI) of the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID’s DDI/EEI Biodiversity Division is in the process of designing an activity titled “Countering Conservation Crime (CCC).”

Through this RFI, USAID intends to solicit and obtain input, advice, knowledge, and best practices from organizations interested in advancing biodiversity, climate and other development objectives by participating in USAID efforts to keep protected or illegally harvested fish, timber, and wildlife out of commercial supply chains and to ensure agricultural and mining commodities are legally sourced and deforestation-free.

The Notice is solely issued to gather information for planning purposes as an attempt to identify capabilities of potential applicants and to gain feedback on the draft Program Description (PD), therefore respondents are advised that any information submitted may be used to inform the development of the anticipated Program Description. This Notice is NOT a Request for Application (RFA), a solicitation, or an indication that USAID will issue an agreement for the requirement contained in this Notice.

Responses to this notice are NOT considered applications and CANNOT be accepted by the Government to form a binding agreement. Responses to this Notice are strictly voluntary and USAID will NOT reimburse respondents for the preparation of information submitted in response to this Notice.
