This grant is for the purpose of establishing a National Resource Center on Youth Development (NRCYD) via a cooperative agreement. This center will integrate into the Children’s Bureau’s Training and Technical Assistance Network, a key component for improving child welfare systems. The NRCYD’s primary objective is to assist States and Tribes in achieving sustainable, systemic change, thereby promoting enhanced safety, permanency, and well-being for children, youth, and families. Its specific focus includes developing and maintaining program strategies and expertise based on the four core principles of Youth Development. This work will help youth transition smoothly into adulthood, achieve permanency, strengthen life connections, and reduce their reliance on the adult social welfare system, accomplished through technical assistance, consultation, and collaboration.
