The HHS Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD) is offering the FY 2010 Help America Vote Act (HAVA) Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) grant. This funding assists Protection and Advocacy Systems (P&As) in improving voting access for individuals with disabilities. The grant enables P&As to promote full electoral participation, including voter registration, vote casting, and polling place accessibility. Grantees will develop proficiency in, demonstrate, and evaluate voting systems and technologies for disabled individuals. Significantly, T/TA for non-visual access must be provided. This initiative aims to enhance democratic engagement and ensure equitable voting experiences for all disabled citizens.
