The Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), announces the availability of Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 funds for a cooperative agreement authorized under Subtitle E of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000, Projects of National Significance. Funds will be awarded to build capacity across and within states through State consortia, to create and share policies, practices and systems that support competitive, integrated employment outcomes to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The Community of Practice (CoP) under this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) will work to provide information including the identification of emerging and promising practices in the area of competitive integrated employment across States, establish and maintain mechanisms to share and disseminate data, develop ideas to address competitive integrated employment challenges in states, provide quality peer to peer technical assistance, and promote interagency collaboration and partnership. The partnerships will include key State and local partners in a way that promotes culturally competent information and facilitates self-determination to promote effective systems change efforts in the area of competitive integrated employment for individuals with I/DD.
