CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $8,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.This NOFO aims to sustain the achievements Malawi has made towards the UN 90-90-90 epidemic control goals and continue to grow the cohort of clients on antiretroviral therapy (ART). Despite good progress, men, youth and children remain behind. The recipient(s) will develop a well-defined, tailored, integrated approach for comprehensive HIV services mentorship and direct service delivery to support the Ministry of Health (MOH) at site-level in the following areas:(1) HIV testing services (HTS): implementation of efficient, targeted case finding approaches.(2) Care and Treatment services (ART, elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV [eMTCT], opportunistic infections/Advanced HIV Disease [OIs/AHD], differentiated service delivery models [DSDM]): Linking and retaining clients to maintain the growth of the cohort while providing comprehensive high-quality care and treatment services including for eMTCT with effective treatment adherence and back-to-care strategies and client-centered DSDM.(3) HIV Prevention services: Linking HIV-negative clients to preventive services including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) through appropriate approaches among high-risk groups, particularly men and young women.The anticipated outcome is progress towards UN 95-95-95 goals across all age/sex groups with continued growth in the ART cohort, improved quality of care, improved access to client-centered DSDM, and reduced HIV incidence particularly among men and young women.

Any applicant who downloaded the application package prior to March 24, 2021 (3/24/2021) must restart their application package due to a mandatory update to the HHS Checklist in the required application package forms in Grants.gov. Restarting the application process is required because the HHS Checklist will be removed from the application package on March 24, 2021. NOTE: Once the applicant logs into Workspace, there will be a warning informing them that the application forms have changed for the NOFO they are applying for.
