Additional Information on Eligibility: | This FOA is open to refugee ethnic community-based organizations (ECBOs) only. An ECBO is a non-profit organization that was founded and/ is led by a refugee individual or a group of refugees and immigrants, primarily to serve a specific refugee group from one or multiple ethnicities. Refugees/individuals of refugee origin must comprise a minimum of 60 per cent of the organization’s board. ORR solicits applications from ECBOs, including national, regional (multistate), and local agencies that address community building, facilitate refugees’ cultural adjustment and integration, and deliver mutually supportive services such as information exchange, civic participation, resource enhancement, orientation, and public education of the larger community on the background, needs, and potential of newly arriving refugees. Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement. Faith-based organizations are encouraged to review the ACF Policy on Grants to Faith-Based Organizations at: http: //www.acf.hhs.gov/acf-policy-on-grants-to-faith-based-organizations. Individuals, foreign entities, and sole proprietorship organizations are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement. |
