The HHS/CDC is offering this grant to enhance civil society capacity in India for advocacy and response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic among key populations. This grant is for the purpose of achieving primary HIV prevention through expanded counseling, testing, and mother-to-child transmission programs. It will also improve care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, STIs, and opportunistic infections by strengthening STI management, laboratory diagnostics, and initiating anti-retroviral therapy. Additionally, it strengthens India’s capacity to collect and use surveillance data, manage national HIV/AIDS programs, and develop public health programs for comprehensive HIV/AIDS, TB, and opportunistic infection prevention, care, and treatment.
