This CDC grant aims to enhance HIV prevention, care, and treatment services in Ukraine by leveraging the unique expertise of community-based organizations (CBOs). Building on the success of the Information System ‘Monitoring Socially Significant Diseases’ (IS MSSD), which serves as Ukraine’s most advanced public health information system, this grant focuses on strengthening and improving the entire public health information infrastructure. It will utilize CBOs’ proven ability in areas like planning, monitoring, evaluation, data standardization, and interoperability. Concurrently, communities will advance their own HIV prevention and care outcomes using innovative mobile applications, electronic tools, and an HIV hotline. This initiative, supported by PEPFAR funding of approximately $1,200,000 for Year 1, seeks to empower communities and refine data-driven public health strategies in Ukraine.
