Additional Information on Eligibility: To be eligible to receive a grant to establish or maintain a Culturally-Specific Special Issue Resource Center (CSSIRC) under Section 310 of the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA), an entity shall be:

a private non-profit organization that focuses primarily on issues of domestic violence prevention and intervention efforts for victims of domestic violence who are members of racial and ethnic minority groups; or
a public or private nonprofit educational that has institution that has a domestic violence institute, center, or program related to culturally specific issues in domestic violence.

The entity must meet the specific FVPSA requirements for a CSSIRC:

Be national in scope and provide information, training, and technical assistance to State and local domestic violence providers;
Focuses on enhancing domestic violence intervention and prevention efforts for victims of domestic violence who are members of racial and ethnic minority group;
Enhances the resource utilization, policy, research, technical assistance, communication education, and prevention initiatives;
Enhances the linguistic relevancy of service delivery and has a record of effectiveness of service delivery to victims of domestic violence;   
Demonstrates experience in domestic violence prevention, experience relevant to the racial or ethnic population served; and
Demonstrates strong support of advocates addressing domestic violence across the Nation who are working to address domestic violence.
Applications from individuals (including sole proprietorships) and foreign entities are not eligible and will be disqualified from competitive review and from funding under this funding opportunity announcement. Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement.
