The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start (OHS) is offering this grant to establish a National Center on Parent, Family and Community Engagement. This grant is for the purpose of disseminating clear, consistent messages about parent and family engagement practices positively associated with improvements in young children’s learning. The Center will showcase research-based practices related to family support, parent-child relationships, early literacy, parent social networks, educational transitions, and parent leadership. It will also provide professional development for Head Start staff working with families and assist States in improving family engagement practices, fostering well-coordinated early care and education systems.

Additional Information on Eligibility: | Applications from institutions of higher education and a consortia of organizations are encouraged. Applicants may also include, as part of a consortium, non-profit and for-profit organizations with a history of providing services related to parent, family, and community engagement. Faith-based and community organizations that meet eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement. Individuals and foreign entities are not eligible for awards made under this announcement. |
