| Additional Information on Eligibility: | Eligible Applicants: Domestic private non-profit entities including, Indian tribal organizations (American Indian/Alaskan Native/Native American), faith- based organizations, LGBT, and community-based organizations that meet the above eligibility requirements are eligible to apply.Under Section 724 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, if no nonprofit private agency for submits an acceptable application, a center may be operated by a State agency, so long as the State agency submits to ACL an acceptable application to operate a CIL. If awarded, the State agency may continue to receive funding each year, as long as there are no nonprofit private agencies that submit acceptable applications in response to the posted CIL Competition NOFO. Foreign entities are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement. |
