This educational program was designed to help the fire service learn more about lightweight construction components and the performance of these building materials. Since this program was originated, new information in this area has been developed, including the creation of new building materials that have approved for use in the building code process as well as interest in the fire service training community to enhance the existing awareness-level program adding additional operations level information.
