Agency Name: Air Force — Research Lab
Description: SCOPE: The objectives of this program are to transfer the Air Force Research Laboratory Sensors Directorate Aerospace Components and Subsystems Technology Division (AFRL/RYD) developed 0.14µm Aluminum Gallium Nitride (AlGaN)/Gallium Nitride (GaN) on Silicon Carbide (SiC) manufacturing process to industry and establish a domestic open foundry with the capacity to meet the DOD needs. The domestic open foundry needs to be able to fabricate designs from all DOD sources at a competitive price. The ManTech emphasis will be on maturing the 0.14µm AlGaN/GaN on SiC manufacturing process to achieve a Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) of 6. This will include verifying the process transfer by comparing results with AFRL. In addition, the focus will be on increasing yield and reliability, while reducing the cost for RF power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, and high frequency switches.
