Description: This project is a partnership between Alaska BLM and an organization that can provide an intern to assist BLM in integrating pest management along the Dalton Highway, Alaska. Specifically this project is to implement the Dalton Management Area (DMA) Integrated Pest Management Strategic Plan. This will include identifying plants in the field, plant measuring and monitoring. Field work will be conducted in semi-primitive conditions and primarily include inventory, control and monitoring nonnative invasive plants in the DMA. Alaska is still largely able to prevent the introduction and spread of nonnative invasive plants.
