| Additional Information on Eligibility: | This is a notice of intent to award. There is no application process for this notice. This is a single source announcement under justification 505 DM 2.14, B(1):Unsolicited proposal – The proposed award is the result of an unsolicited assistance application which represents a unique or innovative idea, method or approach which is not the subject of a current or planned contract or assistance award, but which is deemed advantageous to the program objectives; and 505 DM 2.14, B(4): Unique Qualifications – The applicant is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as location, property ownership,voluntary support capacity, cost-sharing ability, if applicable, technical expertise, or other such unique qualifications. The Division of Management Authority intends to enter into an agreement with the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. The grant will be used to provide financial assistance to states with expenditures directly associated with participation of four regional AFWA CITES Technical Work Group representatives and the AFWA International Relations Director at national and international CITES meetings. |

The Work Group represents the interests of the 50 state fish and wildlife agencies and participates to ensure state wildlife agencies are represented during discussions of proposals considered by the CITES Parties. This grant helps make it possible for the Service to meet its obligations as set forth in 43 CFR Part 24.5. |
