BJA Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program for Healthy Communities

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is offering the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program to support healthy and vibrant communities by providing resources and opportunities for individuals of all ages. This grant aims to address crime, poverty, unemployment, and other challenges that prevent residents from reaching their full potential in distressed neighborhoods. Through comprehensive place-based initiatives, this program encourages collaboration among various sectors and community organizations to reduce crime, improve living conditions, and revitalize communities. The complexity of these issues has led to the emergence of comprehensive place-based and community-oriented initiatives that involve service providers from multiple sectors and disciplines, as well as community representatives from all types of organizations, to work together to reduce and prevent crime and to revitalize communities.
