Additional Information on Eligibility: This financial assistance opportunity is also being open to all partners under any Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) program. CESUs are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. Under the formally negotiated Master CESU agreementâ¿¿s indirect costs are limited to a rate of no more than 17.5% of direct costs under the terms and conditions of the Master CESU agreements.

Description: The Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) strategy provides a process for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to collect quantitative information on location and abundance, condition, and trend of renewable resources on the nationâ¿¿s public lands. In 2012, BLM Alaska began a five year AIM Pilot Project in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A) partnering with a local university to: develop site locations; develop supplemental indicators; develop and environmental conceptual model; collect field data; and refine field protocols. Alaska Natural Heritage Program (ANHP) also provided a summary report on methods and strata characteristics of the NPR-A.
