Additional Information

Agency Name: Bureau of Land Management
Description: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is interested in partnering with a recipient to provide youth with education and work experience opportunities through conservation projects. These opportunities will further the youthsâ¿¿ understanding and appreciation of the natural environment. Natural resource restoration and projects, such as invasive weed treatments, habitat improvement projects, and recreation site maintenance, will occur on public lands throughout the Coos Bay District.

The objective of this agreement is to provide youth the opportunity to connect with the natural world through the completion of various natural resource projects on public lands within the Coos Bay District. These projects will enhance and conserve public recreation, fish, wildlife, and plant resources while providing youth with positive work experiences, development of work skills, a sense of personal responsibility, encouragement for a long term community service commitment, and the potential for future employment in natural resource management.
